My design story is a long one. I started my education in science and engineering and pursued it through a Master of Materials Science and Engineering degree from Isfahan University of Technology in Iran (2015). During my science education, I felt attracted to traditional Iranian painting and noticed how colors, patterns, and textures inspire me. I always feel their pull. My science background gave me 7 years of experience with materials, and now my art training has given me 3 years with colors and textures. Finally I put all of them together and started my Master’s in Color and Materials at the College for Creative Studies. Now I bring an engineer’s perspective, as well as an eye for color and texture, to a broad array of design projects, from cars to accessories to interiors.
My design practice draws inspiration from research and from the environments in which I am immersed as well as from working hands-on materials and processes.
Considering my story, I am looking forward eagerly to whatever challenges lie ahead.
